Less than a year after its official launch, the European Innovation Council’s (EIC) unique approach to identifying and scaling up Europe’s game changing innovation has already created a vibrant community.

Now, the EIC is inviting its beneficiaries to elaborate on their need for specialized support through a survey for Pathfinder/Transition and Accelerator beneficiaries. The results will contribute to the implementation of the new Ecosystem Partnerships and Co-Investment Support programme.
The EIC’s new initiative supports partnerships and co-investment. It will help beneficiaries access services from specialized sector partners. These partners can provide resources to help scale businesses. The goal is to attract private funding along with EIC support.
Strategic partnerships will connect innovators to actors like accelerators and incubators. Research groups can also offer their facilities and training. In this way, the EIC aims to help innovators obtain needed services. The services will facilitate scaling up businesses for growth. Ultimately, this could lead to attracting further private investments.

This will help the EIC to provide more specialized and sector-specific services that are not included in the current offer.
As a first step to the creation of these strategic partnerships, we kindly request you to fill out the following survey to help us help you.

- Assess the current needs of EIC beneficiaries in terms of services and support that can be incorporated in our future offer.

Background on the Ecosystem Partnerships and Co-investment Support Programme
Launched as a pilot in 2018, the fully-fledged EIC has been operating since March 2021, under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation 2021-2027 of Horizon Europe.
As a part of Pillar III, ‘Innovative Europe’ the EIC is engaged in the mission to boost Europe’s innovation ecosystems. The goal is to reinforce close cross-border collaboration between multiple actors, including academia, the public sector, industry, and individual entrepreneurs, in order to make the best use of Europe’s scientific excellence and industrial prowess and accelerate innovation.
The EIC contributes to supporting innovation through its various funding programs. It also offers business services to beneficiaries, such as coaching and mentoring. These services help innovators grow their ideas. The new initiative will expand on these existing efforts. It aims to connect innovators with specialized partners for each sector. These partners can provide needed services and help innovators find investors. The goal is to facilitate interactions across the innovation community.
